How to Disable the Display of Drives in My Computer

When you apply this trick then you will not see any drive ( Patition ) in my computer.
Go to Start=> Run
And here you type " regedit ".
Now registry window will be open and follow this path.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\Policies\

Now on the right hand side, create a new DWORD entry and make his name " NoDrives ".
Now double click on it and modify it's value and set it " 3FFFFFF ".
Reboot your pc to take better effect.


Note: If you want to again display the drives so simply delete the DWORD entry " NoDrives ".

Remove the Chat Box in Gmail

Dear users, if you use gmail for only emails, so you can completely remove chat box from your account. But after any time you can still use gtalk for chating. You can enable after anytime when you need.

Login to your Gmail Account.
Click on " Setting " option.

Click on " Chat " tab.
Here you will see " Chat On " and " Chat Off " option.
Check mark on " Chat Off " option.
After it, save the changes.

How to Optimize USB wwith NTFS Format

First of all, plugged your usb with usb port and then right click on " My Computer ".
Select " Properties ".
Now click on " Hardware " tab and select " Device Manager ".
Click on " Disk Drive " and here you will see your dirve that already have listings.
Right click on your usb and select " Properties " and click on " Policies " tab.
Here are two option. the first  is " Optimize for Quick Removel "
And the second one is " Optimize for Performance ".
Here I will select " Optimize for Performance ".
Now sign into window explorer.
Now right click on usb drive and select " Format ".
Here is NTFS file system can be selected and allocation of 512 bytes can be selected.

Note: If the usb cannot be formated using NTFS, so that possible your usb doesn't support NTFS.

How to Chnage Screen Resolution of Windows XP

You can change the windows resolution on your pc. Follow these steps.
First of all, right click on your " desktop " and select " Properties ".
Now click on " Setting " tab on the top of display properties window.
Here you will see screen resolution slider, so move the slider to right for higher resolution and left to lower resolution.
Now click " Apply " and the " Ok ".

Scandisk with Dos

When you scan the disk, if the disk can't scan so scan with this method.

Go to Start=> Run
Here you type " cmd " and hit Enter.
Now dos command prompt window will be open and here you type.

chkdsk /x /f /r [ Drive Name ]

Example: chkdsk /x /f /r D:
And hit Enter.
D: is the drive name.

How to Disable or Enable Windows Command Prompt

You can disable and enable DOS Command easily with this trick. So follow these steps.

Go to Start=> Run
Here you type " regedit "
When registry editor window will be open then find this path.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\WinOldApp

Now on the right hand side panel right click and create a DWORD entry. Now make his name 

" DisableDos ".

After it give the value " 0 " for enable the DOS and " 1 " for disable the DOS. Its your choice you want to keep enable or disable.

Now reboot the pc to take better effect.

Disable Welcome Screen ( Windows XP )

You don't use " fast user switching ", so you can disable the welcome screen.
Follow the steps.

Login in as an administrator.
Go to " Control Panel ".
Now double click on " User Account ".
After it, click on " Change the way user logon or logoff ".
Uncheck on " User Welcome Screen " for disable the welcome screen.
Now click on " Apply " and " Ok ".
Exit the " User Account Window " and " Control Panel ". After it, reboot your pc to take better effect.
