You can hide the desktop icons with these tricks easily and can save your data. To perform this trick follow the steps below.
Go to Start=> Run
Here you type " regedit " and press Enter.
Now registry editor window will be open and locate the following path.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
Now on the right-hand side panel, click right and select the " DWORD " value. Make the name " NoDesktop " and give the value 1.
Now exit registry editor and reboot the pc to take better effect.
Note: If you want to show your desktop icons now, so then delete this DWORD entry from Regedit.
